Tony’s Got a Brand New Bag!

Hello People of the Internets!

Marvel Now! is upon us, and although I was not a fan of AvX the title Marvel Now completely makes sense. With the non-reboot comes the end of some series, the return/beginning of others, and (would you look at that!) the restart of certain (many) books. Now that I have that out of my system, we’re here to talk about pimp-daddy Tony Stark.

Invincible Iron Man draws to a close with issue #527. But, fear not Starkphiles! Tony and the gang are returning with a new Iron Man title due out on November 7th.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

At one time it was rumored that it wasn’t going to be Tony in the suit shown above on the cover of issue #1. I could be wrong but, I’m pretty sure it’s still going to be the main man in the armor.

I’m going to read this book. I like Tony Stark, Marvel is all about making their comics like their movies. I’m a huge fan of the Iron Man films and Avengers was great fun.  With an easy jumping on point like this I have no qualms about hopping on board the Marvel Train (at least till the next stop). Here’s the big surprise, it’s definitely the Extremis armor. Who would have guessed that with it also being in the upcoming Iron Man 3.

So helming the re-numbered book are Kieron Gillen on writing duties and Greg Land on the art side of things. I didn’t recognize either of these names, of course I looked into it. Gillen I really didn’t find anything exciting on, Greg Land was a completely different story. He’s known for being somewhat of a swiper and tracer. Basically what that means is he rips off other ‘things’ to make his comics. My buddy Doctor Danny brought this exact artist to my attention a couple years back. Some of them are really funny, anyways I’m quite looking forward to this book after delving into “all of this” that will be the start of the new Iron Man.
